Stav Festival

A Celebration of Israeli Arts and Culture

September 28 – October 29
At the 14th street Y, NYC

The Stav Festival features the award-winning play, “Best Friends” by Anat Gov with performances in Hebrew and English, the new hit show of The Cameri Theatre, “The Holylanders” by Moria Zrachia, over 20 musical acts, activities for kids, workshops, Art Exhibit and more. Explore below for all the details.

It’s a wrap!

The Stav Festival was a significant achievement, featuring more than 35 carefully curated events,
including theater performances, family shows, musical evenings, kids’ activities, art exhibition, workshops and much more.
With the participation of over 100 talented artists, the festival brilliantly showcased
the vibrancy of Israeli arts and culture right in the heart of New York City.

Despite the horror that the Israeli and global Jewish community faced since October 7th,
Our inaugural Stav Festival overcame adversity by focusing on building resilience, strength and support.
We rapidly responded to the ongoing conflict in Israel, emphasizing comfort and joy for all
through a variety of programs tailored to themes of hope and peace.
With unwavering determination and your commitment to the arts, we continued our mission,
highlighting the crucial work of non-profit organizations, especially during times of tragedy.
As the festival ends, we aim for healing and unity.
Am Israel Chai – The People of Israel Live On!

Autumn Show - Art Exhibition

Israeli Artists Project Presents an art exhibition of Israeli artists living in New York City. The exhibition explores how we connect to one another through relationships, communities, or sense of belonging through 13 different works of art. Autumn marks a time for change, growth, and new beginnings, and the artworks on display touch on these ideas while incorporating natural elements, abstraction, and pattern making.

We are excited for this event and invite you to join us at the opening reception at the 14th Street Y on Thursday September 28th from 7:30 to 10pm.

A second special opportunity to invite friends, family, and industry people would be on October 5th from 7:30 to 9:30 pm: A Gallery Reception organized by the 14th St Y. There will be snacks and drinks at the opening.

Best Friends

Israeli Artist Project and Stripe Gum Productions Presents: Best friends – An original Israeli classic, winner of the Israel National Theater Award for Best Comedy in 1999.
Only a matter of life and death could bring Sophie, Tirzah and Lelly back into each other’s lives. Two years after ending a friendship of over 20 years, these ex-best friends are forced to re-examine their entire relationship – from the highest of highs to the low point that ended it all. Shifting back and forth between their youth and present-day adulthood, Best Friends takes us through an emotional roller coaster with brutal honesty, humor and a lot of heart.
